Every photo from Kyoto tells its own story about a place, a person, amazing culinary skills, or a snapshot from the day.

Itinerary
-
Hotel Anteroom This is a budget-friendly option for staying in Kyoto, with rooms starting at 50 euros, offering a very minimalist style. Each room provides pajamas, a set of toiletries, and cozy bedding. The hotel is located in a residential area, about a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Station. You’ll need to take buses or taxis to reach the main attractions. We’ve stayed here several times, and while there are more design-focused hotels in Kyoto, we recommend this spot—especially if you want to save money to splurge on an amazing Kaiseki dinner.
-
Monk Kyoto We’ve been there a few times, and each time we were amazed by the Japanese take on Italian cuisine. I highly recommend booking seats at the bar, where you can enjoy watching the meals being prepared while having an interesting chat with the owner.
-
Kinkaku-ji temple - A beautiful temple surrounded by a park.
